FINE ART PORTRAITS

To meet a person through the lens can be done in various ways. It can aim to capture full, realistic reality or go all-in with Photoshop. For me, portraits is about connection and cooperation between both sides of the lens. Something needs to happen in the moment—a reaction. This reaction could be vivid or subtle, but what matters is that you can feel it and be affected by it.

In this sense, I interpret Fine Art Portraits, a widely recognized and open genre. For me, Fine Art Portraits are photos that provoke some kind of emotion in the viewer. A good portrait captures you when you are between thoughts, when you are purly you, and when the world around you are blinking—blind for a split second. A rare and unseen moment that capture the essence of YOU.
